9th Indo-ASEAN Summit was held in Bali, Indonesia.
- 'Greater Physical Connectivity' was set as one of strategic objectives.
- India-Myanmar-Thailand highway extending to Laos and Cambodia, and a new highway linking to Vietnam were proposed by India. Also, Mekong - India corridor linking corridors of peninsula and North-Eastern regions of India to East Asian region was proposed.
- Sudarshini a trading ship which will sail on an expedition to ASEAN countries along the 'monsoon trade winds' has also been proposed by India.
